Domain Road's Defiance Vineyard, on Felton Road, is tucked into a sheltered valley where miners once hunted for gold. This Pinot Gris is the colour of pale lemon straw, with clear hues. Aromas of toffee apple, lemon curd, pear, white melon with a hint of citrus blossom are detected on the nose. This is followed by a lush, full entry of pineapple, nashi pear, ginger and lemon sherbet. Excellent balance, with layers of complexity leading to a hint of sweetness in the finish.

This Sauvignon Blanc is dry in style, complex and mouth filling. Aromas of gooseberries, nettle, melon, tropical fruit and citrus blossom are noticeable on the nose. Balanced acidity ensures a crisp focused palate, with good minerality and flavours of sweet ripe passionfruit and citrus. The finish is long and clean.
