Trail Rider wines are hand made from fruit grown on Eight Ranges' micro vineyard that overlooks the Central Otago Rail Trail. These are serious wines made with no corners cut, designed to be enjoyed and shared now, although these wines will develop with time. This is an enticingly elegant Pinot Noir with concentrated berry fruits and a herbaceous note reflecting the local thyme that grows around the winemakers vineyard. A smooth, lingering finish is supported by fine smoky notes providing a lovely savoury balance.

Batch fermented in small open-top tanks, it spends 6-9 months in 100% French Oak, the Gold River Pinot Noir offers exceptional quality and regionality at a good price.

Jacob's Creek Classic Pinot Noir that pairs approachability and drinkability with varietal purity. This wine has perfumed strawberry notes with a subtle black cherry lift. Judge Rock's certified organic Chiaroni-Jacobson family vineyard is sited on glacial sandy soils on the outskirts of Alexandra, Central Otago. The vineyard grew from an idea that with love of the land, and attention to detail, this site would make great wine - the multiple Gold Medals won by Judge Rock have proven them right. This 2019 Pinot Noir is fragrant with blackberry, red cherry, cloves, violets, chocolate, dried herbs and spice on the nose. It has a full silky palate with dark fruits, blackberries and boysenberries. Elegant palate with layers of fine grained tannins and subtle oak notes leading to a long finish of spice and cherries.

Intense aromas of ripe cherries and boysenberries sit alongside notes of dark chocolate and layered over just a hint of spicy, earthiness. It is an intense mouthful full of juicy boysenberry, cherry and dark chocolate flavours and with a weighty texture on the palate. It has loads of supple, fine tannins and the finish is long, spicy and delicious, suggesting a wine that will develop nicely over the coming years.

Leefield Station is a range of wines that celebrate the history of the iconic sheep and beef station located in the heart of the Waihopai Valley. Purchased in 2013 by Marisco Vineyards, the property inspired us to go back to the beginning with our winemaking approach.
