The Warden's Court dealt with the registration and enforcement of Miner's Rights. Disputes often arose over claim jumping, forgeries, water races, roading and between partners of a joint claim. The old Courthouse in Alexandra is one of the town's oldest stone buildings and was opened on the 16th of June 1879 to house The Warden's Court.

Featuring the founder's grandfather, S.E.D. Neill, on the label, Picnic is a wonderful introduction to the pleasure of Central Otago Pinot Noir. Sourced from the estate's vineyards across Alexandra, Gibbston and Bannockburn, it offers enticing aromas of wild herbs, Black Doris plum, violet and schist, leading to a richly textured palate layered with black and red cherry fruit, warming spice and elegant balance. Approachable yet beautifully expressive, it's a Pinot Noir made to be enjoyed time and again.

Lifted aromas of ripe cherries and spice lead this wine. The palate is soft and generous with delicate primary fruit characters of wild berries shadowed by subtle toasty oak.

Established in 1994 and named after the landmark Wither Hills range that borders the vineyards, the Wither Hills expert team grow and craft expressive wines New Zealanders know and trust to represent quality. Wither Hills Pinot Noir is full of dark wild berry fruits, alluring spice and subtle earthy undertones with ripe fruit tannins. Best matched to darker, gamey meats like lamb and venison, this is the wine for Sunday family get togethers.

Ripe hand picked fruit, gentle winemaking and maturation in French oak have resulted in a complex and powerful wine. It has a perfumed nose of darks fruits, violets and liquorice with a hint of spice. Ripe berry, plum, cherry and chocolate show on the palate with a long sweet fruit finish. A great example of one of the best Central Otago Pinot Noirs. Drinking fantastically well now and will develop and cellar for several years.
