This refreshing style Rose was made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, grown on our family owned vineyard. The vibrant pink colour resulted from a gentle whole bunch press. The juice was fermented in stainless steel to retain the varietal and fruit characteristics. The wine shows delightful aromas of strawberry, peach and blossom with an abundance of cranberry, peach and citrus on the palate. A perfect summer aperitif and is best served chilled.

It all started with a kiss! A Stolen Kiss Rosé back in 2006, when winemaker Malcolm Rees-Francis 'stole' some Pinot Noir grapes that were destined for Rockburn's flagship Central Otago Pinot Noir and turned them into one of the country's first premium Rosé wines. Made with a nod to Provence, this lighter style rosé has aromas of candied pear and mango with underlying secondary notes of brioche and honeycomb. The focused palate delivers stone fruit flavours while a full-bodied mouthfeel lingers on the palate carrying a juicy acidity.

In many areas of Central Otago where water was scarce, gold miners used rocker boxes. Miners poured water slowly over sand and silt at the top of the sloping box, gently rocking the box like a cradle to wash and trap alluvial gold.
