Over at Bach they've been on the hops again... and brewed up a lip-licking dark beer inspired by the nostalgic flavours of a Kiwi jelly tip and cherry ripe. Nestled on velvety roasted malts and layered with natural cherries, raspberries and boysenberries, then finished with cacao nibs. Rich. Lush. Slightly outrageous. Dessert in a glass.

So, they thought they would take their love for Hazy IPAs and bring that down to a slightly more session-able Hazy Pale Ale; still loads of hops and loads of juiciness, but a bit more moderate on the alcohol. This strong malty lager is made to be drunk out of big steins (2.27 of these 440ml cans fill up a proper stein or Maß in German. Or 1.13 cans to fill the Chur-toberfest Das Boot if you happen to have one. Chur-toberfest Festival Lager is brewed for Churly's annual Chur-toberfest celebration in Mt Eden, Auckland. It is made using house lager yeast, Pilsner Malt, Vienna Malt. Munich Malt and Hallertau Tradition hops to make a German lager so flavourful but refreshing. It is made to be drunk responsibly in your favourite Lederhosen or Dirndl and enjoyed alongside some quality Schweinshaxe, Würst or giant Brezel. Prost!

Welcome to Queenstown, where the mountains are high, the thrills are higher, and apparently Churly thought jumping headfirst into a lake of hops sounded like a good idea. Cordless Bungy is our IPA brewed for the NZ IPA Challenge, a juicy plunge packed with lush NZ hops, soft tropical notes, and enough aroma to make your nose feel like it's free-falling at terminal velocity. Think big citrus, stone fruit, and sticky hop goodness, all wrapped up smoother than a tourist saying "yeah nah, I'm definitely doing the Nevis". One sip in and suddenly you're swan-diving off the Kawarau Bridge straight into an alpine pool filled entirely with liquid hop nectar.

You know when a beer needs a generous sprinkle of hops? Well, Churly took that instruction very seriously and hasn't taken off those stupid sunglasses since. Channeling his inner Salt Bae, he's taken to the brewery floor with an outrageous wrist flick, showering this Hazy IPA with hops like they're the final flourish on the world's fanciest kebab. Mountains of juicy hops, soft malt, and enough tropical, citrusy goodness to make your mouth feel like it's been given the VIP treatment. Because apparently, simply adding hops wasn't enough, they had to be sprinkled, generously. Just don't ask him to do the salt. We've seen what happens when he gets carried away.

Introducing Pallet Wrecker! Or... was it meant to be Palette Wrecker? Ah well, too late now. Churly's already grabbed a sledgehammer and is tearing through pallets in the yard armed with a 250 IBU Double IPA. That's right, 250 IBUs. Completely unnecessary? Maybe. Ridiculously hoppy? Absolutely. Layers of resinous pine, sticky tropical fruit, punchy citrus and enough bitterness to make your taste buds file a workplace hazard report. Wait, hang on. Looking at the can again, this was definitely supposed to be as in wrecking your palate.

Some parties are packed. This one? Just Pablo Churly, a swing, and one very, very good hop. Party of One is a Single Hopped Hazy IPA starring Dolcita, proving you don't need a whole crew when one hop is bursting with ripe peach rings, tangerine, candied tropical fruit, a soft vanilla/cream finish, and enough flavour to make a crowd feel completely unnecessary. Enjoy the quiet confidence of letting one superstar do all the talking.

Small Label. Big Hops. Turns out when Churly's mug takes up the entire can, there's not much room left for words. Good thing they crammed all the important stuff into the beer instead. This Double IPA is loaded to the brim with bold, bitter character, because when it comes to hops, subtlety has never really been Churly's thing. Small label. Big hops. Even bigger flavour.

Sometimes when you're getting things done in New Zealand's humidity you just want something cold & refreshing that's smashable without getting you smashed. Here in your hand is a beautiful Low Carb Pale Ale. Wait, yes you read that correctly, Low Carb, in fact it's more than 40% less carbs than our Chur! Pale Ale. So you don't have to feel guilty about drinking more than 1, we think that's pretty chur. We have brewed this beer to be big on drinkability but also massive on aroma and flavour. Perfect to crack open after doing some chores or even the first beer after a long day at work. We have brewed this beer with Pale and Vienna malts to finish super dry then hopped it with a load of our favourite American and NZ hops. So, what're you still doing reading this?
