Handpicked from the higher terrace of the vineyard and fermented with indigenous yeast producing a wine with a silky layered texture providing interest and complexity. Burgundy in colour with a light crimson hue. Dried lavender and garigue, distinctly Te Muna perfume on the nose. An elegant palate with a warm core of brambled wild berries, porcini mushroom and red cherry in balance with the silk-laden tannins, which perfectly frame the wine. It speaks volumes to an incredible site.

A bright perfumed, supple expression of Marlborough pinot noir from clay hill slopes. The fruit is supported by bright florals of rose and violets with crunchy red berry fruit and dried herb notes. The palate is succulent with alluring red cherry, brown spices and silky fine boned tannins.

So it's no surprise our Clayvin Vineyard in Marlborough's Southern Valleys is the cornerstone of their premium wine programme. Certified organic, this north-facing hillside vineyard is nurtured with meticulous hands-on viticulture following biodynamic principles. The clay soils, varied root stocks and high density planted 30+ year old vines reduce vigour and promote root structure, delivering highly concentrated fruit with great structure, tannin and minerality. Ripe hand picked fruit, gentle winemaking and maturation in French oak have resulted in a complex and powerful wine. It has a perfumed nose of darks fruits, violets and liquorice with a hint of spice. Ripe berry, plum, cherry and chocolate show on the palate with a long sweet fruit finish. A great example of one of the best Central Otago Pinot Noirs. Drinking fantastically well now and will develop and cellar for several years.

Mt Difficulty is a boutique winery located in Bannockburn, Central Otago, and was named after the mountain overlooking Felton road and the southern Cromwell basin. As the vineyards are ageing Mt Difficulty are starting to see additional complexity emerging each vintage. Inviting and opulent, the palate is flush with sweet cherry & blueberry, followed by trademark earth & savoury notes and framed by baking spice and fine grained French Oak. The fruit floods through to the finish with a juicy balance, indicating acidity that will keep the wine aging well.

The Central Otago terroir produces Pinot Noir fruit that is intensely coloured and brimming with flavour, this fruit creates stunning wines with black fruit characteristics and richly perfumed aromatics. Dark blackcurrant, wild blackberry, dried herb and spice drive the aromatics which then lead to a lush ripe textural flow showing great density and depth. The wine finishes with great softness and drive.

Church Road Grand Reserve wines are produced only in exceptional vintages. The very best low-cropping vineyard blocks are targeted for selective hand-harvesting to yield wines with the greatest possible flavour, depth and concentration. The Grand Reserve Pinot Noir is wild fermented with a proportion of whole bunches. Dark cherry and sweet berry fruit is lifted by alluring floral and spice notes, complimented by underlying earthy complexity and subtle French oak. On the palate the wine is fine and supple with excellent textural length.

Deep purple and fragrant, with red cherry, dark plums, blackberry, violets, leather and spice on the nose. The palate is rich and concentrated with dark red fruits and hints of tobacco and coffee. A complex concentrated wine with ample velvety tannins, a lovely mineral acidity and a very long finish.
